Since joining WPWPCA over 20 years ago, I’ve seen firsthand how our collaboration strengthens our association and wastewater industry. My work in wastewater pollution control began in 1988, focused on wastewater process pump and blower variable frequency drives and control systems. Technology has evolved dramatically since then, and I look forward to continuing to apply innovative control solutions for our industry.
Time flies when you enjoy what you are doing. Previously and for eight years, I have had the privilege of chairing the Exhibitors and Sponsors Committee, partnering with those who make our work possible. Strengthening and expanding these relationships remains a top priority, as their support is vital to our success. Over the past seven years I have learned much by experiencing each level of the executive board positions.
As a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh’s South Hills, I value our region’s waterways and have witnessed remarkable progress in water pollution control. These improvements reflect the dedication and innovation within our industry.
WPWPCA thrives on collaboration, bringing together diverse expertise to share knowledge, ideas and build lasting partnerships.
Looking ahead, planning for 2026 is about to begin. Our executive board and committee leaders will engage in open, agenda-driven discussions to spark creative solutions and new opportunities. I’m excited about what we will accomplish together.
Together, let us continue to lead with purpose, reach out to others to expand our membership, and continue making a lasting impact on the future of water quality in Western Pennsylvania.
With gratitude,
Scott Hinsch
