Industrial Pretreatment
Program (IPP) Committee Charge
The IPP Committee is responsible
for monitoring and reporting on any new technology, legislation, regulatory
changes (new or revised categorical users) general information with regards to national, state
and local Industrial Pretreatment Programs to the section members.
The IPP Committee members will
attend/monitor the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), Water Environment
Federation (WEF), Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) and the
PWEA’s
Sections IPP conferences and webinars to
keep the section members informed of any activities that would be beneficial.
The IPP Committee Goals:
- Provide/produce education materials
related to the overall IPP Process.
- Promote cross communications and collaboration
between Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) staff and Industrial Users.
- Promote communications with EPA
Region 3 to enhance the understanding of the requirements that govern the
Municipal Industrial Pretreatment Programs (MIPP)
- Increase membership in WPWPCA of
POTW staff and Industrial Users who work or are interested in the IPP process.
- Promote Communications and collaboration
between the PWEA, Ohio Water Environment Association (OWEA) and West Virginia
Water Environment Association (WVWEA) local sections for potential
collaboration and training activities.
