Dear Wastewater Professionals,
I’m excited to announce that our website redesign is now live—and it brings with it a major step forward in how WPWPCA connects with you, our members.
Over the past several months, we’ve been hard at work to revamp our website and implement a robust Membership Management System. It’s been a team effort, and I’d like to specifically call out a few individuals: Michael Drawbaugh (President, MAD Technology Solutions), Liz Lackey (Chair of Website Committee & Team Leader at HRG), Morgan Bendel (Member of Website Committee & Staff Engineer at HRG), Anna Pravlochak (Chair of Brand Identity Committee & Project Manager at HRG), and Doug Pike (WPWPCA Administrator & Owner of PH Environmental). The result wouldn’t have been complete without their buy-in and thoughtful leadership, so thank you!
We are proud to report that the final product is everything we envisioned: functional, intuitive, and built specifically for our organization’s needs. While developing the new site, we reviewed websites from other wastewater associations and drew inspiration from the best elements. You’ll notice the banner now features aerial photos submitted by our member organizations—a great reminder of the communities we serve every day. If you have a photo you’d like us to consider, please send it in—we’d love to showcase it!
The site includes improved navigation to help you find what you need quickly, with intuitive sections like Home, About, Membership, Events, Committees, Sponsors, and Job Postings. Whether you’re visiting the website from your smartphone or desktop computer, the layout will remain proportional and accessible. Behind the scenes, we’ve transitioned from our old membership database spreadsheet to a much more dynamic online membership database. This upgrade facilitates a Members Only portal with access to our Membership Directory, the ability for members to update contact info in real time, and streamlined event registration and dues payment. Even better, the system now supports online registration for plant tours up to and including the day of the event, with secure credit card payment—eliminating the need for cash or check on-site.
To access the Members Only portal, you’ll first need to create a login. Your username is the email address associated with your WPWPCA membership. To set your password, simply click “Forgot my password” on the login page and follow the instructions. If you're unsure which email address is on file, just reach out using the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the website, and our team will be happy to assist. Whether you’re a new member or a long-time supporter, I encourage you to explore the new site and see what’s available. You can visit us anytime at www.wpwpca.org.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our team through the “Contact Us” link on the site—we’re happy to help and will get back to you as soon as practicable. We do ask for your patience as we work through the inevitable kinks that come with launching a new system. Your feedback is always welcome and will help us continue to improve the experience for all members.
Warm Regards,
