This 180-hour program prepares students for entry-level positions in wastewater collection and treatment systems. It focuses on the practical aspects of operating and maintaining these systems, emphasizing safe practices and procedures, and qualify the learner for a CCAC certificate of completion with continuing education units (CEUs) for the operation of wastewater treatment plant components and equipment.

Completion of this program can aid the student as they sit for the DEP Part 1 General Exam for Wastewater Operators. Components of the course are General Safety, Introduction to Wastewater, General Math/Chemistry, Fundamentals of Wastewater Treatment, Disinfection and Chlorination, Collection Systems Part 1 and 2.
