The North Strabane Township Municipal Authority (NSTMA), a sanitary sewer Authority serving approximately 6,000 customers in Washington County, PA, is accepting applications for a Laborer or Operator to join the NSTMA field staff. This is a Union position under a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Based on classification, routine work involves assisting and/or performing a variety of skilled/semi-skilled physical, technical, and maintenance/operations work along with other duties associated with operating and maintaining the wastewater collection system and pump stations.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid PA Driver’s License. The successful candidate must also pass a physical, criminal background check, and drug screening. Must be physically able to work under various weather conditions and be mechanically inclined. Availability to respond to emergency situations 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, when applicable, is a must.
This is a full-time position that offers a comprehensive benefit package. The Laborer position has a starting salary of $20.00 per hour, with additional compensation based on gaining certain levels of Operator certification. The Operator position requires possession of a PaDEP Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s license, and offers a starting rate of $31.55 per hour. UCC Plumbing Certification is a plus and earns additional compensation. NSTMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Water Operations Team Leader who will report to the Treasure Lake Division Field Supervisor. This position is part of our Treasure Lake Division and will have secondary reporting locations in the DuBois, Clearfield County area. This position will
be responsible for the assigned water and wastewater facilities' operation, maintenance, staffing, safety, budgeting, business, and employee performance. Water facilities include well stations, water treatment plants and equipment, water mains, valves, fire hydrants, service lines, meters, and any other present or future water system and distribution system assets owned and/or operated by Aqua Pennsylvania serving communities in the assigned division. Wastewater facilities include wastewater plants and equipment as well as collection system components, including lift stations, manholes, and equalization basins owned and/or operated by Aqua Pennsylvania in the communities that the Treasure Lake division serves.

The Western Westmoreland Municipal Authority will be accepting applications and resumes for a Maintenance Position at their wastewater treatment plant located at 12441 Route 993, North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, 15642. The Maintenance position is responsible for various work associated with the wastewater treatment plant and interceptor system. The applicant must be able to perform routine, preventative and emergency maintenance on all plant equipment including pumps, motors, air blowers, valves, piping and force mains, sewer lines and interceptors, including manholes, buildings and structures, HVAC systems, and electrical and control systems. The applicant will also be responsible for general housekeeping duties, janitorial duties, and grounds and maintenance duties.
