Western Section Lab Practices Committee
The purpose of the Lab Practices Committee is to provide support for lab personnel of the Western Section by way of training events and meetings throughout the year.
The Lab Committee hosts at least one lab related training event annually.

Certified operators attending our group lab meetings can earn one credit hour! The lab meetings are open to everyone and free to attend. However, if you would like to get a credit hour for being there you need to be a member of the Western Section, register at least a week in advance, and pay $5.00.

The Lab Committee recognizes outstanding lab personnel with the annual Patrick J. Canavan Laboratory Excellence Award.
The Lab Committee hosts 3 group discussion meetings for lab personnel of various plants to come together and discuss lab topics and issues.
